Mission
ELI’s mission
are eleborated around 3 directions:
Development
Develop clinical research and stimulate basic research in Europe, promote interaction and facilitate cooperation between academic and industrial research.
Training
To listen, educate and support patients and their families, during and after the disease, through patient associations and to inform the public about this cancer.
Support
To contribute to the training of caregivers, investigators, researchers or clinicians, and any professional concerned with lymphoma. To help centres treating lymphoma patients to achieve the highest quality of care. To promote exchanges between practitioners across Europe.

Research
In every European country there are academic groups working on lymphoma treatment research. However, although these groups sometimes work together, until now there has been no real common strategy to address the problem jointly.
Through the organisation of regular Workshops on various topics, ELI brings the community together around topics and issues raised by the ELI Board of Directors:

Training
Lymphoma Hub
The Lymphoma Hub, delivered by Scientific Education Support (SES) in partnership with ELI, is an open-access online resource, dedicated to providing balanced, credible, and up-to-date medical education in lymphoma and CLL.
The aim is to enhance knowledge in lymphoma and CLL, through the multichannel dissemination of global advances related to their classification, diagnosis, treatment, and management.
The Lymphoma Hub shares new data, evidence-based articles, therapy approvals, expert opinions, and international congress coverage to treatment teams and researchers around the world in multiple languages.
ELI
ELI organises national and international training sessions for health professionals on an ad hoc basis:
- specialisation on the pathology, its diagnosis and management for haematologists and oncologists
- hematology awareness for doctors in training,
- specific management for carers,
- training in clinical research for specialists
- research news for researchers…
The aim of ELI is, through these activities, to provide a uniform knowledge of lymphoma and its care at all levels of intervention.
Support
ELI will host national and regional patient organisations with a direct interest in lymphoma.
As patient organisations play a major role in clinical research, ELI will also endeavour to involve them in scientific programmes, in communications relating to the progress of research, in the establishment of protocols and in the results of clinical trials.
Since 2002, the European network of lymphoma patient organisations has been structured around the Lymphoma Coalition. With ELI, the common objective is to improve communication to patients but also a better understanding of their questions and needs.
